The KRISS DMK22 line works best with factory original KRISS DMK22 magazines, but can accept many aftermarket AR22 magazines, including those from Black Dog Machine
The bolt hold open feature on an empty magazine will only function with original KRISS DMK22 magazines. Aftermarket magazines lack the components needed to trip the bolt stop.
